Wildstar is a game that has been on the market for quite some time now, and it just recently announced its closing. This article will take a look at why the game was not able to succeed as expected, and what could have been done in order to save it from failure. The first thing you need to know is Wildstar’s progression system called an “Expertise System.” It starts with ten points of expertise and players can spend those points between six different skillsets: Assault, Hybrid, Supportive, Tactical or Sanguine; each one having two paths they can skill up in – elites or specializations. In addition there are four tier types which determine how many resources player want to put into their character development (e.g., a player can put points into Assault, but not in tier one and two).

Wildstar was compared to World of Warcraft by IGN and other gaming sites

There are many things that could have been done differently for the MMO’s success. For example, it is possible for players with low DPS (damage per second) in group content because they can heal themselves or use their utility skills to help the team out. This might not be an issue if more people were playing the role as healer due to there being less competition; however, this wasn’t considered at all when designing the combat system. It ends up appearing like every player is just a tank or DPS which led some frustrated players into thinking everyone else had ‘given up.’

I was surprised to find that most of the posts I found about why Wildstar failed didn’t really have any evidence. They were just op-eds from people who weren’t involved in the game’s production at all, or players with very limited understanding of gaming industry budgeting and development cycles. When there is no transparency, it’s almost impossible for outsiders to investigate what actually happened without insider knowledge – which would probably be confidential information not available on public forums like Reddit. So instead, this post will look at a few other reasons we think might explain some possible causes of its failure:

The gameplay violated gamers’ expectations by requiring them to play using only one character per server rather than how they used to enjoy MMOs where
