What is news? A reporter, what is opinion? Those are questions we ask in our journalism class. But the people who get their news from the mainstream media are not really reporting opinions, but instead are giving us information to support the things they believe. And, yes, opinions and opinions happen to be all too common these days. What does this mean for news journalism? The current trend of opinion journalism through wide-ranging interviews with individuals who share their respective views about the current state of news is an example of what social media like to do.
